עזית, כלבת רועים גרמנית הנבונה של תמי, חברתו של סגן אורי מחטיבת הצנחנים, מצילה את אשת הקצב השכונתי משודד ארנקים. בעקבות כך היא נשלחת לקורס אילוף צבאי המכשיר אותה למשימות צניחה, איתור ובילוש. בהמשך מוטלת על עזית משימה מיוחדת - חילוץ צנחנים משבי האוייב. כאשר סגן אורי נופל בשבי בעקבות פשיטה מוצלחת על מעוז מחבלים בירדן, נקראת עזית למשימה החשובה מכל - חילוצו משבי האוייב.
